Broccoli with Butter and Lemon

Ingredients – serves 4 to 6

  • 1kg broccoli
  • salt
  • 25-40gms unsalted butter
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • pepper

Trim the stalks and divide into florets; boil in salted water until stalks are barely tender, then drain; put back in the pan with the butter and lemon juice and heat through, turning to cover; sprinkle with pepper and serve
